Upload your own Korean cooking video on YouTube, and get a chance to win a Delicious SEOUL Story trip with Asiana Airlines!
Create a short video, in which you make your favorite Korean dish. The recipe can be a traditional Korean or a Korean-Western fusion dish. Contestants with the best five videos will win a “Delicious Seoul Story” trip to Seoul. On the four day culinary trip, the five winning teams will be treated with a Korean cuisine cooking experience with Korean cuisine masters, a Kimchi making experience, and round trip tickets to Seoul with accommodation!
Contest Period: Submissions must be entered between October 1st, 2011, 12:00 a.m. and October 31st, 2011 4:00 p.m., Korean Standard Time (KST)
Eligibility: Only non-Korean citizens residing outside of South Korea can enter.
– How to participate
1. Choose a Korean cuisine you would like to make.

2. Create a short video in which you make a Korean dish and upload it on YouTube.
*The title of your video must include “Delicious SEOUL Story”.
**The description of your video must include an introduction of yourself (name and nationality), the details of the recipe and a critique of the dish.
***Only one and two-person team participation is acceptable. Two-person team participation is encouraged.
3. Post your video as a response to the “Delicious SEOUL Story” video on the Visit Seoul’s YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/visitseoul.
– Winners announcement: November 4th, 2011
Winners will be contacted individually through e-mail and will also be announced on the website (welcome.visitseoul.net) on November 4th, 2011 (KST)
The dates for the “Delicious SEOUL story” trip are set for November 23, 2011 ~ November 26, 2011 and cannot be changed. If a winner is not available on those dates, the winner will be disqualified and the Seoul Metropolitan Government reserves the right to select another winner at its sole discretion.
– Contest Process
1. Online Session
The videos with the most “likes” and “views” on YouTube will be shown to the judges. The five finalists will be selected based on the judgment criteria below.
*Judgment Criteria: Understanding of Korean cuisine, creativity, execution of the recipe, and passion for Korean cuisine.
**Extra credit will be given to creative and interesting recipes or themes. (ex. Cooking Korean cuisine while dancing to K-Pop, introducing your own Korean cuisine recipe with your special culinary skills or a creative mix of ingredients, etc.)
2. Offline Session
Offline cooking contest will be held during the five winning teams’ “Delicious SEOUL Story” trip to determine the winner.
Judgment criteria: Overall presentation, creativity, and taste of recipe.
– Prizes
Delicious SEOUL Story trip (November 23rd — November 26th, 2011)
– Prize details
Five prizes will be awarded to five lucky teams, consisting of a Koran cuisine making experience with Korean cuisine masters; Kimchi making experience; round-trip airfare to Seoul; a three night hotel stay; transportation; and translation services. The winner will be awarded with an extra prize.
– Conditions of Participation
Videos must be under 3 minutes in length.
One entry per contestant.
We reserve the right to reject any videos which we, in our sole and absolute discretion, deem offensive, violative of law or unsuitable in any other manner.
If the winner is found to be a different person from the video, the winner will be disqualified and the Seoul Metropolitan Government reserves the right, if time permits, to select another winner at its sole discretion.
By submitting a video to the contest, the contestant transfers all rights to the video to the Seoul Metropolitan Government and grants Seoul Metropolitan Government a perpetual, royalty-free license to use your video in any media.
