A member of this coastal Native American group, she has preserved their language and cuisine for generations. Known for her comforting and tasty dishes, Kardea Brown has become a popular culinary personality. From her no-bake Carolina Mud Pie to her fried chicken, she puts her southern roots at the forefront.

In the pilot episode of her cooking show, Kardea gives viewers their first look at Kardea Brown on camera. The pilot episode premieres on Sunday, July 28, at 11:30am ET/PT. The show was filmed in Charleston, South Carolina.
